Low Carb Pizza

I’m always looking at alternatives to food I love and although I’m not on a strict ‘diet’ by any means, I really enjoy tasting and comparing these different foods.

I’d love to say I’m a connoisseur of pizza. I’m not, but I’d love to say it. I’ve tried a lot of pizza, as I’m sure most have. I’ve even tried pizza in Italy whilst visiting relatives. Although, I couldn’t enjoy the pizza because my teeth had become sensitive from the citrus of sucking on too many lemons (literally). I’ve tried a cauliflower alternative of pizza (which is actually amazing) and so I thought I’d give Joe Wicks A.K.A The Body Coach’s tortilla pizza from his latest book ‘Lean in 15’.

Of course, I new what to expect, just a pizza on a tortilla instead of on a big blob of dough. It was quick to prepare, tasted great and cooked in 12 minutes. I also added mozarella cheese to add calories and fats. (I’m not looking to lose weight). If you want to try The Body Coach’s Tortilla Pizza, the recipe is below.

First prepare the tortilla and spread 100g of canned chopped tomatoes and  sprinkle some oregano

Next, add your toppings 
Then shove in the oven and cook for 12 minutes (preheat the oven to 230°C (fan 210°C, gas mark 8))img_5662
